My new friend.

Nick and I have found a new little friend, or I should say he found us.   He is super sweet and listens very well.  He enjoys spending time with our cat Frankie and Frankie like him.  He has showed himself to be loyal and we have only known him for 4 days but every time we come home he finds a “gift” for us as soon he see us.  The gifts have seemed to vary from, a t shirt, a rock, as tennis ball, a stuffed animal, a Nintendo remote, a piece of concrete to a shoe.  He seems to be still very young at age probably around a year or 2 but still very calm and mellow.  I think we have decided to keep him as he has proved to us he is “worthy”!  He does not have a name yet but we have been calling him “buddy” and he is a golden retriever with the sweetest little face you have ever seen!

I need another pet like I need a hole in my head but something keeps tugging at me and telling me I would be a fool to let him go.  Masahd is getting older and I have just now realized that he wont be in my life for much longer.  I guess that since I have had my old boy since 8th grade I would have him all my life, it sure suck when reality sets in.  For those of you who don’t know Masahd he is a German Shepard and Malamute mix.  He’s about 100lbs and is the sweetest most well behaved animal in the world and is about 12-13 years old.

Any advise on a name for the new dog would be great.  He is already starting to respond to Buddy so I would like a name that rhymes with Buddy!

I know I said I was going to write this FOREVER ago but I have been basically living outside because of the wonderful weather. Since I have been outside I have not been able to use my computer.

Since the very day we moved into our house on December-2-2005 the guy 4 houses down from me has been a PAIN IN MY ASS! I live on a short dirt road that is about the length of a block to two blocks long. I think he lives in his driveway because every morning/afternoon/evening/weekday/weekend he is out there. He has 2 young boys that play in the road that are about 8 and 10 years old and 2 large dogs that are always in his driveway but occasionally in the road with the kids. There is no speed limit posted on our road and I have always just assumed it would probably be 25 miles per hour. Since the road is dirt I usually go about 10-12 miles per hour because of the dust. The first day we moved in he yelled at me to “SLOW THE FUCK DOWN” whenI was going 10mph. I ignored him until after hearing this many times after and started to flip him the bird anytime I heard him repeat those words. He yells at my neighbors, my friends, my mother, my sister-in-law and anybody else he wants to…

So the other day Emmy and I were leaving to meet some friends in town and Nick was leaving the same time to get himself something to eat. Nick was the first one to drive down, then Emmy, and then myself. I could hear the jerks WIFE yelling at Nick, then yelling at Emmy, and then she told me to “SLOW THE FUCK DOWN”. I threw my hands in the air as to say “screw you, I’m not doing anything wrong” but didn’t look at her or in her direction and kept driving.

I didn’t stay in town much longer than 45 minutes and decided to come home because I was tired. It was about 8:55pm and as I turned onto my road I didn’t want to hear them scream and yell so I just left my foot completely off the gas or brake and let my car idle down the dirt road. As I was approaching the Ass Holes house he was waiting at the end of his driveway for me and as I got close he walked out into the middle of the road and stood there so I could not pass by to get to my own house. I stopped and sat there…..He didn’t even move. I think he was waiting for me to get out of my car or something but I sure as hell was staying inside my car. I turned my wheel to the left to try and go around him but he just moved over. After what felt like several minutes he started to walk to my side of the car. I just kept driving and he yelled “you better roll the fucking window down bitch, I need to talk to you” so I rolled it HALF WAY DOWN. The first thing out of his moth when my window was down was “do you have a FUCKIN PROBLEM with my WOMAN?” I didn’t say anything or look at him and he again repeated himself. I told him I didn’t thing I had a problem with his “FUCKING WOMAN” but I might have an issue “with his wife”. From there everything turned into a screaming match that neither of us won at. I started to drive towards my house and he followed me walking alongside my car yelling about how we all use the road as our own personal freeways and his kids play out there. I yelled at him and told him that maybe he might want to think about not letting his kids play in the road and have them in bed when it’s after 9pm. He didn’t like that and told me not to tell him how to parent. I then said: “I’m was not TELLING, I was only SUGGESTING”. Anyway I told him he had 2 choices. I told him one: I dared you to set even one foot onto my property and continue yelling or two: we could call the police and let them settle this for us.

My dog came out in a VERY PROTECTIVE manner and started growling and barking at him. It freaked him out and he left and walked back to his house. I came in the house and called the police. We ended up not actually pressing charge against him but we do have a case number so next time he even looks at us wrong we will follow through with the harassment charges.

Nick went down to the guys house and told him that we had a case number and he had better leave us and everybody else alone about “going too fast”. Nick told him that we called the police and also that the LEGAL speed limit on our road is 25 mph and that we could continued to drive whatever speed we felt like going under 25. Nick then informed him that if he had any more problems we didn’t want him to talk to us about them but that he could just call the police.

Paddling under the influence

The rain has been coming down most of day prohibiting me from going outside.  I have been stuck in the house all day.  I guess it’s been a good thing though, because I have been cleaning all the things that don’t get cleaned on a regular basis.  My house itself has been clean but I have been spending time cleaning the oven, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, laundry room, and tackling the massive pile of laundry that we have. 

 

I’m hoping to go out tonight to see Emmy and Barb and have a drink or two but the way the weather is coming down I might have to take a fucking raft to the bar……I wonder If I could still get a DUI if I was paddling under the influence…..I’m sure I could.

Short break before shopping again!!

Gosh today has been busy.  I ran out to the coffee stand to pick up my pay check.  Took it to the bank then I drove to Wall Mart to meet my mom, then to Old Navy to get a shirt to wear to dinner tonight.  I just got home and I’m about to leave again to take my Mail Tribune pay check to the bank and Nick’s pay check.  Then to Costco to get some shit, then the grocery store to get food because I have been putting off shopping for over a week now and I think Nick’s about to starve to death.  Then back home to put everything away and get ready for dinner with Crystal.  I’m super excited to end my busy day with her ‘cause I have not seen her in FOREVER!!  It will be a great night I’m sure. 

 

Nick will be leaving tomorrow morning to leave to Sutherlin with his Dad to pick up our little baby goats and will be back on Sunday so I’ll have the house ALL TO MYSELF!!!  It’s been a LONG time since Nick has gone someplace over night.  Any suggestions on what I should do?????  Hope everybody has a good weekend and enjoys the above 80 degree weather today and has a GREAT EASTER as well!

I hope for no procrastination

 

Yesterday was a successful day.  Nick had taken the day off so we could get our fence up for our baby goats that we are getting Saturday.  We got laying boxes for our hens and put them in their coop and rearranged in there so they had more room to walk around and installed a door for easy access for us to get their eggs.  The weather had been nice so Gretel has been laying an egg every day now for the past few days.  We made 2 burn piles to burn all the leaves from fall.  One of our damn neighbors called the health inspector because our fires were putting off too much smoke.  The guy that came out was nice and didn’t even ask for a permit that we didn’t have.  He only just asked us to put some wood on the fire so it would burn hotter and eliminate most of the smoke.  We found a whole patio made out of brick about 1 inch under the dirt that covered a large area near a tree that must be around 50 years old.  We started to dig them up so we can make a patio in a different location with the old red bricks.

 

Today I plan to continue cleaning inside and outside.  What fun! ;-(

 

I’ve failed myself, with cleaning!

I have been having a hard time concentration on cleaning my house and packing for Reno.  I made a promise last night to myself that I would spend the evening cleaning really hard when I got off work today so we would not have to come home to a messy house but I think I’ve failed myself miserably.  Don’t get me wrong, I have cleaned.  I cleaned all Nick’s greasy hand prints off all the white doors and cabinets, I have done a lot of laundry (still have a lot to go), and I have packed some stuff.  We need to do dishes, vacuum, and  some of the other escentials, but I guess my plan now is to wake up early to do so. 

 

Wish us (Nick and I) luck that we will win million, or thousand so we can pay off any debt that me may have! 

Just a simple day…

I just got back from having a margarita with my mother and 2 of her friends. One of which I have not seen in many many years, and it was oh so great to see him again! I was pleasantly surprised to see Crystal with them when I walked in and that made me instantly happy as I’m always excited to see her beautiful face. On my way home I stopped at Human Bean to grab a 20oz. iced mocha to pep me up for a nice evening out later on tonight with Barb and the crew! As of right now I’m working on my monster shopping list from hell that I will be trying to tackle tomorrow since tomorrow is payday for both Nick and I. I guess the list is not that big to possibly the ordinary person but to me it is. I’m the type to “shop as you need it” kind of person so I’m at the store frequently throughout the week buying a few items at a time. I have been slacking on that for the past month so I have many places I need to go and many things to get.

Reno here we come!

Next Friday Nick and I are off to Reno, a much needed trip.  Nothing special, just something fun for us to do.  We will probably leave early, maybe around 7:00am putting us there around noon or 1:00pm.  I can’t wait.  Reno is nothing special, actually I think it’s very trashy but it’s a LOT closer than Vegas and cheaper! Maybe we will win thousands, I hope. 

Absolute perfection

I have been slaving away all day on my spaghetti sauce and now… well, now its PERFECT.  Fresh sliced tomatoes, carrots, lots of mushrooms, sliced olives, a ton of hamburger, spicy sausage, a variety of spices and herbs.  I can’t wait for my husband to get home and taste the goodness.  Unfortunately I will not be able to eat it with him, I have a class that starts at 6:00pm but I will be thinking about the wonderful taste and daydreaming of a huge plate of spaghetti when I get home!  And to think about so many of you that will be dining on greasy fast food while I will be eating perfection!  WOW, I sure sound big-headed of myself and my spaghetti sauce abilities but I’m sure you would understand if you could only taste my incredible achievement.
